Since last 17 years our philanthropic community started engaging directly and impacting through various means that resulted into the hospital made significant progress in helping thousands of poor patients. Many of them not only donated money but got engaged in many ways to help develop programs, joining our campaign, volunteer and so on. Sadaqh (Charity)

Our Members, Patrons, community members and public, from home and abroad contributes towards medical costs, buying equipment, machineries, ICU, CCU beds, Scanners, Breathing machines etc.

It does not need any explanations that our facilities, theatres, lab, Emergency room and Ambulance service all are under equipped and needs improvement and upgrade, requires huge investment. This, not for profit organisation requires your earnest support. Please join us, follow our campaigns and take part, get involved and make difference to our community.

Zakat (Islamic Charity)

Every year from home and abroad, around BDT 2 million deposited in our Zakat account. This amount helped 4 to 7 hundred poor patients yearly, who could not pay their fees and costs. From 2 thousand to 30 thousand taka were given to each patient, who had to ask for help before discharge, as they are unable to pay their bills.

Foundation has a strong and transparent policy and process to scrutinise and approve from this fund. This fund is part of annual audit and a list of beneficiaries is published. Individual’s name of the Zakat payers list is not published and Sharia rules are followed. We are building on our experiences and practices of last 20 years. Whole amount is spent in the same year.

Waqf (Endowment)

In 2024 an Waqf is created under the name of Dinajpur Health Care Waqf. The sole beneficiary of this account is ZHF.

It was created with a value of a Mobile X-ray Machine and few hundred thousand Taka as initial amount of this Waqf (Endowment).

This is a Cash Deposit Waqf Account opened with IBBL, Baridhara Branch, Dhaka. This high-profit priority account is derived from the Waqf Ordinance of the Bangladesh Government, overseen by the Sharia Board of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.

No amount from its principle balance can be withdrawn or moved to any other account at any time, whatsoever.

Any one can deposit any amount (in thousand’s multiple) into this account anytime. An annual dividend/profit of the account’s balance is disbursed directly into the Zakat account of the ZHF by IBBL.

We like to build on this account to continue our effort to help our helpless poor. Be part of this Waqf, you can let it grow – this charity will continue beyond our lifetime, inshaallah.

The Rising Threat of Heart Disease in Young Adults

Heart disease remains one of the most prevalent and life-threatening health conditions in Bangladesh. The risk of developing cardiovascular disease increases with age, which is why it has traditionally been more common in people over 50. But now, a concerning trend is emerging.

At Zia Heart Foundation, we are seeing younger and younger patients being diagnosed with serious heart conditions. What’s even more alarming is that many of them do not have the typical risk factors—they have no family history of heart disease, no genetic predisposition, and they lead active lifestyles. Despite this, cases of heart disease among young people are rising at an unprecedented rate, and experts predict this trend will continue over the next decade.

We are committed to understanding and addressing this growing crisis. Through cutting-edge research, awareness programs, and advanced cardiac care, we are determined to reverse this trend and save lives.
