It does not need any explanations that our facilities, theatres, lab, emergency room, and ambulance service are all under-equipped and need improvement and upgrades, requiring huge investment. Sadaqh (Charity)

Our Members, Patrons, community members and general public, from home and abroad contribute towards medical costs, hospital costs, buying equipment, machineries, ICU, CCU beds, Scanners, Breathing machines etc. This has created the back bone of our capacity to support needy patients.It does not need any explanations that, our facilities, lab, theatres, emergency room and ambulance services, all are under equipped and needs new procurement, upgrading, that requires huge funding. This, not-for-profit organisation requires your earnest support, your sadaqah. Please join us, follow our campaigns and take part, get involved and make difference to our needy community.

Zakat (Muslim Charity)

Every year from home and abroad, around BDT 2 million deposited in our Zakat account. This amount helped 4 to 7 hundred poor patients yearly, who could not pay their fees and hospital costs. From 2 thousand to 30 thousand taka were given to each patient, who had to ask for help before discharge, as they are unable to pay their bills.

Foundation has a strong and transparent policy and process to scrutinise and approve any giving from this fund. This fund is part of annual audit and also a list of beneficiaries name is published. Name of the Individual Zakat payers is not published and Sharia rules are followed on its uses. Whole amount is spent in the same year.

We are building on our experiences and practices of last 20 years on this fund and continue to expand its outreach.

Waqf (Endowment)

In 2024 an Waqf is created under the name – Dinajpur Health Care Waqf. The sole beneficiary of this Waqf asset is ZHF.It was created with a value of a Mobile X-ray Machine and few hundred thousand Taka, as initial amount of this Waqf.This is a Cash Deposit Waqf Account, opened with IBBL, Baridhara Branch, Dhaka. This high-profit, priority account is derived from the Waqf Ordinance of the Bangladesh Government, overseen by the Sharia Board of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.No amount from its principle balance can be withdrawn at any time, whatsoever. Only its annual profit/dividend is transferred directly into the Zakat Tahbil account of the ZHF by IBBL PLC.Any one can deposit any amount (in thousand’s multiple) into this account, anytime.

We would like to build on this account to continue our effort to help helpless poor patients. Waqf is popular among Muslim, however this cash waqf easy to built and we will make further efforts to build this fund so that more and more poor can benefit from it.
