A community wide media campaign to promote walking in Dinajpur Town

Introduction
Engaging in a moderate physical activity for 30 minutes five or more times per week substantially reduces the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, colon cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity, and walking is an easy and accessible way to achieve this goal.
Sedentary lifestyles contribute to chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes, and to risk factors including obesity.
Walking is an easy and accessible way to achieve the recommended amount of daily activity Thirty minutes of brisk walking five or mre times per week substantially reduces the risk of developing above mentioned diseases.

To enhance the success of community-based efforts to promote pro-walking beliefs and behaviors a day long awareness campaign is arranged on 21st September 2024. It is a Saturday.
Registration
Registration starts on 1st September by paying 100 taka.

On 21st morning (6am) walking starts at ZHF and ends at Gorashahid Maidan via Shuihari more.
